1. What a cookie is
A cookie is a small text file a website stores in your browser. Similar technologies include local storage, session storage, and pixels. They can remember settings, keep a site secure, or count visits.
2. Cookie categories we use
| Category | What it does | Typical duration | Can you turn it off? |
|---|---|---|---|
| Strictly necessary | Serves the page, balances load, and protects against abuse and cross-site request forgery. | Session to 24 hours | No — the site cannot work without these |
| Preferences | Remembers small choices you make on the page, such as estimator inputs, so the page behaves sensibly. | Session, or until you clear your browser | Yes — clear site data in your browser |
| Analytics | Counts visits and pages viewed in aggregate so we can see what is useful and fix what is broken. | Up to 13 months | Yes — see Section 7 |
| Advertising / targeting | Not used on this site. | — | N/A |
If we ever add a new cookie category, we will update this table and, where consent is required, ask for it before setting the cookie.
3. Estimator data stays in your browser
The numbers you type into the estimator — monthly lead spend and ROAS — are calculated in your browser. We do not transmit them to a server or store them in a database. They only reach us if you deliberately include them in a message you send.
4. Form and email data
When you submit the proposal form, the details you entered are used to open a pre-filled email from your own email client, addressed to us with the subject line “THINK HOME SERVICE SUBMISSION.” That means:
- Your submission travels through your own email provider, under their terms.
- You can see and edit the message before you send it.
- We receive it as an ordinary business email and handle it as described in our Privacy Policy.
5. Analytics and measurement
We look at aggregate, high-level metrics: page views, referral source, device type, and approximate region derived from IP. We use this to judge whether the page is clear and whether the site is working. We do not build advertising profiles, and we do not attempt to identify individual visitors from analytics data.
6. No ad tracking or data selling
We do not run retargeting pixels on this site, we do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We are a capital partner for home service operators — the advertising we invest in runs through your publishers and your accounts, not through visitor tracking on this website.
7. How to control cookies
- Browser settings — every major browser lets you block or delete cookies for a specific site. Look under Settings → Privacy or Site settings.
- Private window — browsing in a private or incognito window clears cookies when you close it.
- Analytics opt-out — browser-level tracking protection, an ad blocker, or a Do Not Track setting will generally stop our analytics from loading.
- Ask us — email us and we will confirm what, if anything, we hold from your visit.
8. Do Not Track and global signals
We honor Global Privacy Control (GPC) and browser Do Not Track signals by not loading non-essential analytics for that visit. Because we do not sell or share personal information, there is nothing further to opt out of.
9. Data retention at a glance
| Data | Where it lives | How long |
|---|---|---|
| Estimator inputs | Your browser only | Until you close or clear the page |
| Proposal email | Our business inbox and CRM | 24 months if no partnership; term plus legal retention if there is one |
| Aggregate analytics | Analytics provider | Up to 14 months |
| Server and security logs | Hosting provider | Typically 30–90 days |
10. AI agents and our MCP endpoint
We publish a public agent endpoint at /mcp so AI assistants can read general information about how our model works and run the same illustrative split math shown on the site. That endpoint exposes public marketing information and a calculator only. It does not contain personal information, submissions, customer data, or any private business records.
11. Changes to this notice
If we add tools that change what data we handle, we will update this page and revise the “Last updated” date above.
